Sağ was born in 1962 in Veliköy, Tekirdağ. She completed her high school education at Istanbul Imam Hatip High School, and graduated from Umm Al Qura University’s Arabic Language Institute in 1989, and got her associate degree in theology at Anadolu University in 2013. She took patternmaking (sewing) courses in 2007, furnishing courses in 2011, and ribbon embroidery training in 2012 at ISMEK. She worked as an assistant patternmaker between 2007 and 2008.
