ALTINAY was born in 1977 in Istanbul, and she graduated from Sultanahmet Industrial Vocational High School, Mechanical Painting Department in 1993. She completed her university education at Anadolu University, Marketing and Advertising Department, Public Relations and Publicity Program in 2016. She took clothing (basic) and clothing (advanced) training at the Public Education Center between 2005 and 2006. At ISMEK, she completed the needle lace training in 2010-2011, and needle lace skill development training between 2011 and 2012. At the Public Education Center, she completed the machine embroidery skill development training in the same years, and the traditional carpet weaving course between 2012 and 2013. Altınay, who has participated in various exhibitions, still attends patchwork courses.
