Nurten Coşkun was born in 1960 in Istanbul. She received various certificates from handicraft, jewelry and silver weaving classes. She started working as a silver weaving master instructor at İSMEK in 2005, and she also gives hands-on training on nearly-extinct handicrafts like kazaziye and Trabzon mat.
