Nadir Tatar was born in Istanbul in 1989. He graduated from Selçuk University Fine Arts Faculty Traditional Turkish Arts Illumination Department in 2016. Tatar started taking illumination classes from Mustafa Çelebi in 2003, and continued his studies with Illuminator Ömer Şen in 2005. He studied ruq’ah with Fatih Özkafa in 2011, did illumination and old artifact restoration works. Tatar participated in exhibitions organized both at home and abroad, some of his works are in private collections. Yasin Özel and Furkan Sarı are some of the students he trained.
