Rahime Güngör Polat is a graduate of Çapa Selçuk Girl's Vocational High School Handicrafts. She took education from Cahide Keskiner, Semih İrteş and Melek Anter within Topkapı Sarayı. In Turkish İslamic Arts Library, she took illumination (tezhip) lessons from Ali Rıza Özcan, also took miniature lessons from Şehnaz Özcan. Between 1982 and 2011, Polat took illumination, pattern design lessons in Bakırköy and Zeytinburnu Public Education Center and various Municipalities of İstanbul. She worked as a (kalemkâr) which is a person who decorates and paints walls and roofs in Dolmabahçe Palace, Mansions affiliated to TBMM. She gives traditional arts lectures in her own workshop called Sanathane İstanbul which is in Bakırköy. She attended near forty exhibitions, also she has three personal exhibitions.
