Güzin Kayır, born in 1953, started to study classical painting at Yusuf Taktak Painting Workshop after having worked as a banker for twenty-five years. After receiving marbling training from Feride Dayanç for two years, she continued her studies in Marbling Instructor Beyhan Atasoy Workshop at Kadıköy Public Education Center. Kayır reinforced her knowledge, skills and experience in the art of marbling with the continuous studies she did. She did workshop works in many galleries and art institutions and participated in personal and group exhibitions. Arzu Mercan, Eşref Varol, Sude Şavlı, Arzu Işık, Ayla Şile, Büşra Ceylan and Betül Yılmaz are among the students trained by Kayır.
