İsmail Dündar was born in Istanbul in 1954. He started working on marbling in 1991, took classes from Tülay Taslacıoğlu at the Turkish Cultural Service Foundation Caferağa Madrassah and received his license in 1995. Dündar, who started giving classes at various institutions, held many personal and group exhibitions both at home and abroad. He participated in the Marblers’ Congress, his works were exhibited in the 10^th State Turkish Decorative Arts Exhibition. Dündar continues his artistic works at Suyüzü Marbling Workshop he founded in 2002 in Bakırköy.
