Meryem Uçar was born in 1990 in Istanbul. She is a graduate of Istanbul University Communication Faculty Public Relations and Publicity Department. She started her marbling training with Uğur Taşatan in 2011, and attended the classes under the consultancy of Alparslan Babaoğlu and the supervision of Uğur Taşatan in Küçükçekmece Municipality Traditional Arts Academy in 2013. In 2014, she received marbling license from Alparslan Babaoğlu. Uçar has been continuing her illumination training with Şehnaz Özcan since 2012. Uçar, who participated in many group exhibitions, won prizes from various competitions. She continues her works, and gives classes in many different institutions.
