Nursel Karaca was born in Bolu in 1965. She is a graduate of METU Faculty of Architecture Department of City and Regional Planning and Yüzüncü Yıl University Department of English Language and Literature. She completed her graduate studies at Yüzüncü Yıl University in 2000, and her doctorate at the Department of Art History in 2011. Karaca has been working as an instructor at Yalova University Faculty of Art and Design Department of Graphic Design since 2013. She received Marbling Course certificate in 2014, Transcriber-Tile Maker certificate and Glazed Tile Application certificate in 2015, Tile Worker-Tile Maker certificate in 2016 from Yalova Public Education Center and Evening School. She presented papers on marbling and tile arts in various events like symposiums; her articles were published in international refereed journals. Karaca held two personal exhibitions consisting of her marbling and tile works, and participated in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad.
