Yeliz Erengül was born in Kars in 1986. She is a graduate of Selçuk University Vocational Education Faculty Handicrafts Training Department. Erengül continues to work as a teacher at a vocational high school. She took classes from the Felt-making Master Mehmet Girgiç, and has been giving traditional tepme (a felt-making technique) felt-making classes at Pendik Municipality since 2010. Yılçağ Yenişehir, Safiye Gölgelioğlu, Emel Argan, Sevil Parlak and Canan Aldırmaz are some of the students Erengül trained.
