Cemile Fıçıcı was born in Istanbul in 1971. She started her illumination training in 2002, and continued her training with the illumination and design classes she took from Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz at the Classical Turkish Arts Center at Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk, Topkapı Palace and Nakkaş Decorative Arts Center between 2005-2013. Fıçıcı, who participated in various exhibitions at Nakkaş Decorative Arts Center, took part in the tile analysis projects of Takkeci İbrahim Ağa Mosque and Rüstem Paşa Mosque. She won exhibition prize in tile pattern branch in the 17th State Turkish Decorative Arts Competition organized in 2013 and in kalem işi branch in the Masters of the Future Competition organized in 2015. Fıçıcı continued her khatt studies with Levent Karaduman at Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk between 2013-2017 and received her thuluth license in 2016. Afterwards, she worked as an assistant teacher at the Classical Turkish Arts Center at Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk for a year.
