Meryem Güney was born in İspir in 1965. She studied at Ankara University Faculty of Economics, International Relations Department. Güney studied ruq’ah and naskh with Khattat Hasan Çelebi. She took classes at TBMM Department of National Palaces Turkish-Islamic Arts Center Katı’ workshop, and received her license and certificate from Dürdane Ünver. Her works took part in the projects of Bosphorus and Judas Tree, and the Masters of Today 2010. Güney participated in many exhibitions both at home and abroad, most of her works are in private collections. She is an artist of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
