Mine Makas was born in Rize in 1961. She works as a branch instructor in Bakırköy Public Education Center. She was introduced to katı’ art in 2007, and received her license by completing her training in General Secretatiat of the Grand National Assembly National Palaces Department Traditional Turkish Arts Education Center under the supervision of Dürdane Ünver and Müjgân Başköylü. She received her illumination training from Gülbün Mesara; miniature training from Dilek Yerlikaya; classical Turkish book binging art training from İslam Seçen; classical marbling art training from Alparslan Babaoğlu and Uğur Taşatan in Traditional Arts Academy; and she continues her studies. Makas also has an Artist Presentation Card given by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
