Ahmet Koçak was born in Elazığ in 1973. He graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Industrial Design Department. Koçak worked as a designer in various institutions for ten years. In 2001, he took thuluth and naskh classes from Davut Bektaş and ta’liq classes from Prof. Ali Alparslan. He received thuluth and naksh licenses from Davut Bektaş and Hasan Çelebi in 2007. Koçak participated in various group exhibitions in Medina, Dubai, Doha, Algeria, Kuwait, Istanbul, Ankara; and continues his works at his office in Fatih. He still works as a lecturer at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, and gives classes at Küçükçekmece Municipality Academy of Traditional Arts and Eyüpsultan Municipality Sertarikzade Cultural Center.
