Mithat Topaç was born in Sinop in 1969. He is a graduate of Istanbul Technical University Business Engineering Department. He started studying ruq’ah and naskh with Khattat Yusuf İzzeddin Sav in 2004, and continued for two years. He started taking thuluth – naskh classes from Davud Bektaş in 2005, and received his license in 2010. He continues his khatt training in ta’liq style with Khattat Tahsin Kurt. The prizes he has received are as follows:

• 2013 Traditional Arts Competition Thuluth – Naskh Branch – First Prize
