Muhittin Serin is a Turkish-Islamic Arts History professor at Marmara University Faculty of Theology. He did scientific researches in khatt field; studied ta’liq with Kemal Batanay and received his license from him. Serin has published works titled “Exercise Muraqqas” that consists of the works of Halim Efendi, Hulusi Efendi and Kadi-ul Asker Mustafa İzzet Efendi published by Kubbealtı Culture and Art Foundation, “Art of Khatt and Famous Khattats”, “Khattat Aziz Efendi” and “Khattat Sheikh Hamdullah”.
