Nazan Bayraktar Türkmen was born in Istanbul in 1983. She graduated from Anadolu University Business Administration Faculty in 2006. Türkmen started studying thuluth with Abdullah Aydemir in 2006 at the Applied Turkish-Islamic Arts Library, continued her studies on thuluth-naksh with A. Erol Dönmez in 2010, and received her thuluth-naskh license in 2013 from Dönmez. She participated in the Forty Hadiths Exhibition organized in 2017. Türkmen continues her khatt studies with Hüseyin Kutlu.
