Born in Tokat in 1963, Tekin learned how to do needle lace on her own at secondary school. In 2016, she received training on this craft at Çiğli Municipality Training Centre, improving her skills and creating many products. Tekin, who participated in year-end exhibitions with her works, continues to produce lace, small furnishing and crochet as well as needle lace.
