Born in 1970 in Afyonkarahisar, Emeksiz has been interested in handicrafts, especially three-dimensional needle lace since secondary school. She received her handicrafts mastership and master instructor certificates from Afyonkarahisar Public Education Centre in 2021. Emeksiz, who worked as a volunteer instructor at Afyonkarahisar Üniversitesi Sürekli Eğitim Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (Afyonkarahisar University Lifelong Learning Application and Research Centre) between 2013 and 2021, tries to help housewives contribute to the family budget and keep this cultural heritage alive.
