Ahmet Akgül was born in Germany in 1978. He started working on producing and selling souvenirs in 2001. Akgül received an award in the field of carving and handicrafts in Ahi (a Turkish-Islamic guild) Week in Çanakkale. He took part in The Hands and The Masters of the Fortress Project, and in the book of the project. Akgül continues to produce souvenir carved mold burning works.
