Erdoğan Şeker was born in 1958 in Eskişehir. He took fret saw classes from Fikri Bilgin. He teached in Çatalzeytin Public Education Center for two years. He had been master instructor of wood processing for four years in İSMEM which belongs to İstanbul Tuzla Public Education Center. He worked as a master instructor of wooden souvenir producer courses. Şeker also participated the third Traditional Handcraft Festival in Bursa.

He has been recorded as a fretsaw master by the Ministry of Culture.
