Gul Kölük was born in 1973 in Malatya. She is a graduate of Uludağ University Chemistry Department. She received naht (an khatt style) training from Hüsayin Avni Kabaçalı in 2007. In 2011, she took classes from Pearl Inlayer Hüsamettin Yivlik, and in 2013, received katı’ training from Ersin Yıldızhan under the consultancy of Dürdance Ünver and acquired her license. She continues her works at her own workshop and is also a master instructor at BUSMEK.
