Süleyman Sırrı Şenol was born in Isparta in 1961. He is a graduate of Kocamustafapaşa High School. Şenol started cutting scriptures in 1980 as an amateur, started studying with Hüseyin Kutlu in 1985 and received his license in 2007. He applies khatt and illumination on wood by using the fret saw technique.
