Sertaç Bayraktar was born in Keşap, Giresun in 1976. Bayraktar, who completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul, graduated from the Stone and Metal Processing Department of Muğla University Milas Vocational School in 1999. He met glass during his internship with Arşak Özben in 1998 and stepped into the world of glass with a special interest and skill. He established his own workshop in 2005 and continued his work by producing glass beads and objects in many different models. During this period, he noticed the lack of qualified staff and started to give education in Kadıköy Public Education Center in 2008, apart from the trainings he gave in his workshop. The name of Sertaç Bayraktar, who won the title of Traditional Handicraftsman of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2010, is registered in the Public Culture Information Center. Sertaç Bayraktar, which has been exhibiting his works in many cultural events and exhibitions, has been successfully representing our country abroad as the Ministry of Culture Handicraft Master since 2010. Apart from production and individual training; he organizes workshops in cooperation with governorships, municipalities, public education centers and provides training support. Sertaç Bayraktar has been giving glass bead trainings in Istanbul Polonezköy Glass Art Center since February 2016.
