Şerife Aktaş was born in Istanbul. She studied at Public Relations and Business Administration departments. Aktaş took marbling classes from Hikmet Barutçugil in 1995, illumination classes from Melek Anter, Semih İrteş and Mamure Öz at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Topkapı Palace Workshop. She continued her training at Sema Workshop for two years, and did studies with Tûze Art Group, managed by Khattat Savaş Çevik, between 1999-2012. She took miniature classes from Nusret Çolpan and Gülbün Mesara at the Classical Turkish Arts Center at Yıldız Palace Şale Kiosk, and continued her studies at Nusret Çolpan Workshop afterwards. Aktaş participated in many exhibitions both at home and abroad, and her works are in various collections. She continues her artistic works at her workshop.
