İpek Özsoy was born in 1978 in Manisa. After graduating from Safranbolu Vocational School Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Department, she graduated from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Fine Arts Khatt, Illumination, Miniature Department in 2005. She gave miniature and illumination classes at Bolu Public Education Center and at Gerede Cultural Center between 2006 and 2008. She has been working as a miniature master instructor at BUSMEK since 2012, and giving classes in her own workshop at her house. Özsoy also has been further improving herself in the art of miniature by taking classes from Fatma Zehra Aktaş since 2015.
